Invitation for IFC Delegates at Frankfurt’s Römer

On behalf of the Municipal Council of Frankfurt the Lord Major Mrs. Dr. h. c. Petra Roth invited the delegates of the Annual General Meeting of the International Federation of Cheerleading (IFC) to a reception on April 20, 2012 in the Imperial Hall of the “Römer”.

City Council member Mr. Markus Frank, also responsible for sports affairs, welcomed the delegates and conveyed warm greetings from the Lord Major Mrs. Roth as well as from the other city bodies. He was specifically delighted that the sport of Cheerleading finally found its way to Frankfurt, as the sport was strongly developing in the past years. He highlighted the achievements of the IFC, such as establishing the Cheerleading World Championships.

On behalf of the IFC Executive Board and all the delegates, the President of the IFC, Mr. Setsuo Nakamura offered a sincere thank you for the warm hospitality.  He was delighted that the city of Frankfurt was offering the historical Imperial Hall of the “Römer” as the location for the reception of the delegates. Furthermore, he stressed the mission of the IFC to further spread and develop the sport Cheerleading globally.

AFVD President and IFC Vice President, Mr. Robert Huber thanked the city of Frankfurt, especially for the continuous support of all sports the AFVD is involved with, but also all supporters of the German Federation for the decision to host the 2012 Annual General Meeting at the place of one of the founders of the IFC.

During the talks with the delegates of the countries, the representatives of the city of Frankfurt advertised the city as a potential interested venue for Cheerleading related sporting events such as World or European Championships in the future.
